NL "Porn Film Festival Amsterdam staat voor pluraliteit, kunst, genot en gemeenschap. Ons overkoepelende doel is om een spannende en toegankelijke ruimte te creëren waar veel verschillende lichamen en seksualiteiten samen kunnen komen. We onderzoeken het verlangen in al zijn diversiteit en behandelen urgente vragen met een positieve en creatieve houding."
Van 6 t/m 9 februari vieren we seks met films, workshops, lezingen, optredens, kunstinstallaties en twee feesten. Naast Cavia vindt het festival ook plaats in Tilla Tec, Theater de Richel, Prostitution Information Center en Vrankrijk. MEER→

Our overarching objective is to create an exciting and accessible space for very different bodies and sexualities to come together. We explore desire in all its diversity, addressing urgent questions with a positive and creative attitude."
From February 6 to 9, we celebrate sex with films, workshops, talks, performances, art installations and two parties. Besides Cavia, the festival will also take place at Tilla Tec, Theater de Richel, Prostitution Information Center and Vrankrijk. MORE→

Working Progress: Filmmakers’ Community Event
EN Working Progress is a series of screenings that enable filmmakers to present their unfinished works to meet audiences with the aim of receiving feedback, generating a conversation and network for filmmakers and other film people! Filmmakers and works are chosen through an open call on a monthly basis. For interested parties, please email: workingprogress.ams@gmail.com
The screening will present 3 work in progress films or audiovisual works, with each filmmaker or artist receiving up to 30 minutes to present their unfinished work and talk to the audience about the work. More details about the selected projects to follow in the week before the screening.

NL Sinds 2008 biedt Eastern Neighbours Film Festival (ENFF) het Nederlandse en internationale publiek een uniek kijkje in de cinema van hun buren uit Midden-, Zuid- en Zuidoost-Europa.
Imago (2023) is een post-punk psychologisch drama over 'otherness', het streven naar vrijheid en de gecompliceerde band tussen een moeder en dochter. In 1987 is de jonge Ela op zoek naar haar plaats in het sombere, communistische Polen. Energiek en vol ideeën, maar gebukt onder twijfels en een gecompliceerde relatie met haar moeder, vindt Ela troost en een gevoel van vrijheid in de alternatieve kunstscene. Uiteindelijk wordt ze de leadzangeres van een post-punk band. Regisseur Olga Chajdas schreef het script samen met de charismatische Lena Gora, die het hoofdpersonage speelt, geïnspireerd door haar eigen moeder. Samen brengen ze een complex vrouwelijk personage op het scherm, gevangen tussen artistieke ambitie, moederschap en haar innerlijke strijd. De film geeft een levendig beeld van de Baltische Driestad tijdens een periode van grote politieke veranderingen.

Imago (2023) is a post-punk psychological drama exploring otherness, the pursuit of freedom, and the complicated bond between a mother and daughter. Set in 1987, young Ela is searching for her place in the bleak, communist Poland. Energetic and full of ideas, yet burdened by doubts and a complicated relationship with her mother, Ela finds solace and a sense of freedom within the alternative art scene, eventually becoming the lead singer of a post-punk band. Director Olga Chajdas co-wrote the script with the charismatic Lena Gora, who plays the lead character, inspired by her own mother. Together, they bring a complex female character to the screen, caught between artistic ambition, motherhood, and her inner struggles. On a broader level, the film vividly portrays the Baltic Tri-City art scene during a time of significant political change.
