NL SCREENING BRAZIL is een filmfestival georganiseerd door het Amsterdam Collective for Democracy in Brazilië dat hedendaagse Braziliaanse films presenteert aan een internationaal publiek met als doel de discussie over de huidige Braziliaanse politieke situatie aan te moedigen.

In de context van een groeiend sociaal conservatisme verbonden aan het neoliberale economische project – vertegenwoordigd door de verkiezing van Jair Bolsonaro in 2018 – dat de ontmanteling van sociaal beleid bevordert, vooral in verband met de mensenrechten en het behoud van de natuur, wil Screening Brazil in zijn tweede editie zichtbaarheid geven aan individuele en gemeenschappelijke acties van verzet.



EN SCREENING BRAZIL is a film festival organized by the Amsterdam Collective for Democracy in Brazil presenting contemporary Brazilian films to an international audience* with the aim of encouraging discussion on the current Brazilian political situation.

In the context of growing social conservatism allied to the neoliberal economic project – represented by the election of Jair Bolsonaro, in 2018 – that promotes the dismantling of social policies, especially related to human rights and preservation of Nature, SCREENING BRAZIL, in its second edition, seeks to give visibility to individual and community actions of resistance.

Passe-partout: 20 euro.
We accepteren ook de Cinevillepas.
Reserveren is niet mogelijk. Kaartjes kunnen vanaf een half uur voor aanvang aan de bar gekocht worden.

Entrance 5 euros per block.
Full week ticket: 20 euros.
We also accept the Cineville card.
It's not possible to make reservations. Tickets can be bought at the bar, half an hour before the film starts.



The program is organized by the Amsterdam Collective For Democracy in Brazil.

As in the first edition, part of the profit from the cinema tickets of the event will be donated to the #FreeLula cause, in solidarity with the former president Lula da Silva, a political prisoner, and activists who are being arrested and persecuted in Brazil.
