FILM + LIVE MUZIEK



NL Op donderdag 29 november zal onze foyer weer worden opgewarmd met live muziek! Deze keer zal een groep folkmuzikanten onze oren en onze geest doen strelen, direct na de film. De film die we gaan vertonen is Bad Boy Bubby. Wil je alleen het optreden bijwonen? Dat kan! Kom dan vanaf 22.30 uur. Toegang is dan gratis.

EN On Thursday the 29th of November, our foyer will be warmed up once again with live music! This time a group of folk musicians is going to please our ears and our minds, right after the film. The film we will be screening is Bad Boy Bubby. Do you only want to attend the performance? That's possible! You're welcome from 22.30h. Free entrance.




The musicians that are going to perform:


Alasdair Roberts has worked with Drag City Records for some 20 years, releasing more than ten records featuring both interpretations of traditional songs and those featuring his own songwriting. He has played with Will Oldham, Jason Molina and many others and is part of The Furrow Collective.

In addition to being a fine fiddler in the Scottish traditional style, Neil McDermott is currently researching the musical and political engagement of the 1960s Scottish folk scene with the anti-nuclear movement.

Tartine De Clous (Geoffroy Dudouit, Thomas Georget and Guillaume Maupin) is a singing trio originally from the department of Charente in western France. Following in the footsteps of some of the great French groups of the late 20th century folk revival (such as Mélusine and La Bamboche), they sing largely unaccompanied three-part harmony arrangements of the traditional songs of France... and Scotland!

Bad Boy Bubby

NL Bubby is 35 jaar oud, spreekt vrijwel niet en zijn enige speelmaatje is een kat. Het appartement waarin hij samenwoont met zijn moeder die hem misbruikt, heeft hij nog nooit verlaten omdat zij hem wijs gemaakt heeft dat de buitenlucht giftig is. Niettemin ontsnapt Buddy na een onverwacht bezoek van zijn vader en komt hij de maatschappij voor het eerst tegen. Bad Boy Buddy is zowel een zwarte komedie als een serieus drama die vragen oproept over onschuld, moraliteit en wat het kost om toe te mogen treden tot de maatschappij. Rolf de Heer is een van Australie's meest geprezen regisseurs. Bad Boy Buddy was zijn vierde speelfilm en heeft meerdere prijzen gewonnen.


EN Bubby is 35, almost mute, and his only playmate is a cat. He’s never left the tiny apartment he lives in with his abusive mother, because she tells him the outside air is poisonous. However, after an unexpected visit from his estranged father, Bubby escapes and encounters society for the first time. Bad Boy Bubby is both a black comedy and a serious drama, raising questions of innocence, morality and the cost of entry to society. Rolf de Heer is one of Australia’s most acclaimed directors. Bad Boy Bubby was his fourth feature and won multiple festival awards.
