EN In different corners of the world — including this underwater one — we are witnessing growing unrest driven by ongoing wars, genocides, rising fascism, and the destruction of nature.
This film block, curated for the latest edition of the Porn Film Festival Amsterdam, brings together works that signal, mock, and comment on global crises through the lens of pornography. The films explore how the body and sexuality can serve as tools for social awareness, political critique, and activism.

Pe Ataju Jumali (Hot Air)
Margarita Weweli-Lukana, Juma Pariri, Frê Arvora, Gurcius Gewdner, Amaya Torres, Jules Zinn, Juan Camilo Herrera Casilimas e Juliana Pongutá Forero | 2023 | Brazil, Colombia, USA, Canada | 25’
The countries of the Global North are the biggest polluters on the planet with their CO2 emissions. Thus, they created the carbon credit system, which pretends to protect forests in the Global South, which are already protected by their first nations. A typical farce of the financial capitalism known as "hot air". The enchanted beings of those forests, with their perforMAGIC ACTivations, came to reveal this great farce and invite everyone to do environmental justice with their own hands united in a great cosmic spiral.

How to Eat a Whole Watermelon and Get Away with It
Iris Glitzer | 2024 | Germany, Greece | 7’
Being a politician is a tough job. A U.S. and an E.U. politician fuck as passionately as they care for human rights, eating a watermelon and reading the newspaper.

Pornographic practices against death drive
Fernanda Errada | 2024 | Spain, Chile | 22’
The spectrum of grief is wide and the journeys of libido are unpredictable. This video-essay examines pornographic censorship in Chile, intertwining a BDSM session with emblematic cases from the social oubreak and pandemic (2019-2022). Through this lens, it explores how censorship intensifies in crisis contexts and how pornographic platforms have become spaces of resistance. The work also analyzes how pornography serves as a scapegoat for institutional violence, revealing the complex intersection of sexuality, resistance, and repression in times of crisis.

Slut in the military circus
AntiGonna | 2024 | Ukraine, Poland | 13’
This film invites reflection on the value of life and the meaning of peace through the experiences of refugees—many of whom face the painful reality of being unable to fulfill their aspirations or find happiness.
It is both a documentary and a surreal exploration of the artist’s mental state, shaped by the impact of war—particularly on women who have become victims of military violence and the power struggles between men.

Oda a la alegría (Ode to joy)
Lola Pistola | 2024 | Catalunya | 4’
This is a performance to give a shit on everything. Metamodernism stands for the possibility to overcome the postmodern nihilist collapse with the power of honesty, absurdity and paradoxical literality. Sarcasm is old-fashioned. Life is, indeed, fucked up. We deserve and ode to that.
